Study objective To evaluate the effect of anticoagulant therapy on the survival of patients
with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). Design Prospective study. Setting Five hospitals
located in the Miyagi prefecture in Japan, including a university hospital, a Red Cross
