We compared the doubling time of fibroblasts derived from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis
(usual interstitial pneumonia)(IPF [UIP]) lung tissues and control fibroblasts, cultured in usual
growth medium, and examined the response of these fibroblasts to platelet-derived growth
